my jax homestead

Welcome to My Jax Homestead. I’m Keioffa, and I’m building an urban homestead in Jacksonville, Florida—one step, one season, and one lesson at a time.

This space exists because I wanted to slow down, grow food, and learn how to live more intentionally right where I am. I didn’t grow up farming, and I don’t have it all figured out. What I do have is curiosity, consistency, and a desire to build a life that feels more rooted and self-sufficient.

Why I Started My Jax Homestead

Like many people, I reached a point where I wanted more control over my food, my environment, and my time. I wanted to understand how to grow things, how to work with the land I have, and how to build practical skills that create resilience.

My Jax Homestead started as a personal project and quickly became a place to document what urban homesteading actually looks like in real life—no acreage, no perfection, just learning as I go.

What I Share Here

On My Jax Homestead, I document:

  • Growing food in a city environment
  • Urban gardening and backyard projects
  • Homestead experiments and seasonal lessons
  • Simple approaches to self-sufficient living
  • The mindset shifts that come with slowing down and living closer to nature

Everything here is shared from experience. Some things work, some don’t—and I share both.

This Is a Living, Growing Space

This homestead is still evolving, and so am I. Some seasons are productive, others are about observation and rest. I believe there’s value in documenting the process, not just the results.

If you’re curious about urban homesteading, sustainability, or building a simpler life from wherever you’re planted, you’re welcome here.
